Some Maltese MK1s

Postby malta transit » Sat Jun 16, 2007 12:47 am

These are some photos from my album, dates vary, from recent till the first photo of my very first transit. My first transit was this white perkins diesel engine MK1. I had it just on my 18th birthday and kept it for about 5 years. The problem with it, it was very slow. As i used to live on a hill [as you can see from the picture] i used to start it on gear. On first gear full gas i never saw more than 10mph,2nd gear 20mph,3rd gear 30mph,and 4th gear 40-42mph. The most time when reaching 55mph was on a down hill on free gear. After these years i laugh at my self [ notice old er plates and my dads MK2 cortina fitted with a 1.5 BMC diesel engine].
