Hello, everyone. I'm a Norwegian physician, turned speculator. A few days ago, I got my first Ford, a 2004 Transit Connect T220 @ 123000 km . It seems modern sedans have gotton too complex to buy used, so I looked around for more basic transport. From what I've read, the Connect is quite durable and simple. My version has some extra bling, with intercooler, turbo, extra buttons and all, but at least, I hope it was good bang for buck.
It has some errors. First, a faulty diesel-gauge. I'm thinking to take out the dash and put it one the heater to fix that. Secondly, it was welded below the doors a few years ago, and received a dose of Tectyl. It's risqué buying welded stuff, I know, but there isn't much rust to see on it, apart from the back bumper plate and a small superficial area at the right rear canal. It has a noise, resembling loose, thin metal flickering in the wind, which becomes noticeable around 70 kph. It comes from the right front of the vehicle somewhere. It's still there when shutting the engine down at speed. I did not notice this during the test-drive, and there was too much traffic to speed up.
