and when i got them i striped them down to but my mileage clock in them

I did the same and calibrated the speedo to a sat nav so it's 1mph out but that's better than 4mph out

How did you change the clocks as looks like need to take off steering wheel? Or can I just undo the four bolts holding the rack up and drop the wheel down?

Once you take the column trims off there's 2 screws for the speedo surround at the bottom that can be undone without the column dropped but it's easier to drop it as it's only 2 13mm nuts then lay the wheel on the seat. I did it without dropping it
