Diff oil for mk5

Postby Nonsense » Sun May 13, 2018 8:33 pm

Hi, I'm currently servicing my 1995 2.5di transit and about to purchase mt75 oil for the transmission. But what about the differential oil? What grade it should be or is it some special oil?

Thank you, do you know the oil capacity of the diff by any chance? 1-2-5 litres? :D I have never changed a differential oil before.

Has anyone ever completely changed the diff oil?
The "H" axle has no filler plug on the axle case, the level plug is on the side of the diff carrier. Clean the crap away first!
