Drilled more holes in my roof  and fed the wires through for the horn, I am tempted to drive up the industrial estate playing it and watch everyone rush out for the jiffy truck  just had a quick look and might swap the pipes to play LA cacracha N

After a fair bit of swearing at and threatening the van with matches and a can of petrol and a bit of help from my mate the mobile mechanic we managed to get the old egr valve off

It was very reluctant to come out. The bolts were all mullered, the 2 holding it to the egr pipe heads sheared off, the 2 back ones holding it to the pipe from the exhaust were seized solid and just rounded off.
I was only using a little 1/4" ratchet on them as well

It's usually the case as with the heat etc. Probably a situation where mini oxi pays for itself

I threw in the towel, admitted defeat and called my mate the mobile mechanic. A few strategically placed cuts with a disc and die grinder and it just fell apart with a few taps from a club hammer.

I got the new egr fitted this afternoon along with a set of glow plugs seeing as the inlet was out of the way
