Good afternoon, after removing several layers of paint appeared the identification plate and the number of very oxidized chassis.

Do you know what transit model it is?

The chassis corresponds with your registration document, 1970,june.
The plate is not original to van, so details on plate are for the 1974/May van it was originally fitted to before being put onto your van, for whatever reason. So these details are for another vehicle.
What is the engine number in van?, is it the same numbers as the last part of chassis no. on plate? ,Originally it would be the same as last numbers of chassis number on chassis itself but with a two letters at start, could the plate be off of the van that the engine fitted came from?
What your van came with fitted originally has been lost with the original plate.

The van does not keep its original engine so I do not know its number. Can it be a 190? Is it for a pma of 3500 kg?

Based on the production date and that it is a German type 81 LWB van, then it can only be FT130 (2750kg), FT150 (3000kg) or FT175 (3250kg). FT190 was not produced until later.

Unless it was a German Firevan in which case they were generally labelled as FT130 but had a Gross Vehicle Weight of 2950kg for obscure German driving licence requirements. But I think the Firevans were all built in Cologne not Genk.

Is there no weight specification on the registration document ?

Does the engine in van not have a number stamped on the main block casing (dont know where, if you post a picture of engine sure someone on forum will know where you should be able to find it)?
Would explain van running two identities at once, chassis and registration document for van itself, plate for engine (after it had been converted to diesel from petrol, from the diesel donor).

I have now been quietly informed that actually some Firevans were built in Genk. Sorry for my error. And that adds to the number of Gross Vehicle Weight possibilities.

Ideally you would want to have it as 3250 being the max available at the time. What do you have to do in Spain to confirm or change the GVW ?

The engine and change that has attached is a sofim engine (fiat) of a Seat 131 2500 d, I have the technical sheet of the year 79 when I register in Spain with the same number of chassis, according to me the owner got it in an auction of the customs and the van was German. In the right rear door in the lower part has 2 holes that I guess would be where the plaque would go that would put "transit". What type of plate would you like?

at the end of the day everyones just guessing the type,, the year,, when you look at the pictures it may have had its id swapped and changed a number of times because that's what people did as it was easy to do along with engines and boxes, for all kind of reasons

Good afternoon, although it is still too early to think about colors I would like to know which reference or color name are the ones with this transit.
Me gustaria pintarla con esta combinacion y el sobreelevado de fibra en blanco diamante

Thank you, my van need to change a large part of the firewall because it is very rotten and although there is some small difference from the mk2 that I have for donor as the accelerator pedal I think the firewall is identical.
