pulled one of my leaf springs today to take some measurements from, might get a pair made, and washed a load of mud out the wheelarch, shitty job :roll:

fitted a new clutch but had to wait for a spigot bearing coming via ebay as local ford dealer wanted £35
also replaced a centre bearing on the prop
truck drives great now so might do the flareside next :D its juddered in first for 12 years didnt realise it could be the bearing broke :oops:

Discovered today that..........
hill start assist/anti stall and adblue light don't work.
Then I woke up :lol:

Look for the size and order from a bearing dealer.

10 th of the price for a branded bearing :?

Left it with the local garage for welding repairs required for MOT!
2000 mk5 100 swb, going.
2005 mk6 350 lwb, not going.
2005 mk6 280 lwb, gone bang.
1996 mk5 190 lwb, gone.
1998 mk5 80 swb, gone.

thought I would have a go at my fuel filter on a 2.5di. wish I had not bothered I,ve owned the van for a year so no idea when it was last changed, but the big plastic nut will not move even with a strap wrench & one of the pipes refuses to disconnect so shut the bonnet gave it a dirty look & had a cuppa :evil:

Put a pic up of the offending nut and pipes.

Probably the later filter with the big black plastic bit around the filter that you twist of to drop the filter.
I’ve never had a problem removing them but have read others struggling to get them shifted.
