Mileage correction

Postby Scorcha » Thu May 03, 2018 12:17 pm

My van has done 140000 but just before i bought it the cluster was changed to one which only had 113000 due to a faulty cluster. Anyone know how i can go about getting mileage correction done or anyone offering the service in Essex or Kent? Its a 2005 Transit Connect

Not quite, if it is done to deceive, then yes. If it is documented in the service history then perfectly ok.

To the OP, did the seller make a note on the paperwork, possibly on the MOT cert after the replacement was fitted.?

Vantuner did mine :)

It's perfectly OK to increase the mileage whatever the reason, and it's OK to decrease if you're retrofitting a higher mileage speedo, but decreasing it purely to deceive, is illegal.

The MOT history will dob you in if you're up to no good, anyway :P
