I would start with checking dcu and pump connections first but here is a guide to help you diagnose it :D

I have a Ford Transit 1994 2.5td I have had help from members, about engine manigment system, fast tickover engine management light not going out, and engine gose into safe mode, but have found out that it is cam sensor in injection pump, and parts are not avalable anymore, it has a EPIC Fuel injection pump, and have been told by a chap how had the same problem, and had the Fuel injection pump changed to a standard fuel injection pump, but he could not tell me what injection pump he had fitted, could anyone help me fined what injection pump i need to replace this EPIC Fuel Pump, PLEASE L.T.S. 9

If its a mk4 you can read the codes(via the management lamp) using a paper clip or small piece of wire

Theres a 2 pin & 3 pin connector in the glove box, the 2 pin with an adapter plugs in to the Ford diagnostic ? & the 3 pin is for a star tester ?
