Hello Everyone.
I'm Steve and have had a transit continuously since I went self employed in 1991.
Unfortunately I sold my 91 in 2004 and have had a couple of modern ones since.
I'm thinking of buying an '89 MK3 to go back to some reasonable reliability.
Would you agree with that?
It's had a fear amount of welding done and a new paint job so hopefully the body is now sound.
Apparently second gear is clunky until it gets warm, can't remember if that was an issue with my one, it's too long ago?
It's had power steering fitted, which I'm not too happy about, less is best for me.
But he has fitted Porsche mags wheels, so I guess this might have made turning the wheels a little harder?
Would these wheels / tyres be detrimental the diff, bearings etc?

Also the diff needs a rebuild apparently, would this cost a lot?

Thanks for looking and look forward to meeting you all.

All the best.

Steve

Thanks Luke.

Tell me, are parts still available for these 25 year plus transits?
If not, can you get companies to make parts up like fly wheels and windscreens?
