Hi all, Im Brendon from NZ.
I am new to the Ford Transit scene and with a few google searches I have been doing on my Transit I purchased, it always led me to this forum, so I thought Id join up.
Anyway, I purchased a 1997 MK5 120, 2.5 Turbo diesel Transit as our 2nd camper upgrade. We had a 1992 Ford Econovan as our first self contained camper but found it too narrow for myself, my partner and our 3 year old daughter to travel in the front. So I purchased this transit van. Shes a good old girl, needs a little love but runs great and is fairly clean for its age. We bought it already with a basic setup and a self containment certification but we will continue to modify and finish off the interior and I plan to clean up and respray it later this year. Im a Ford fan, and own a couple Ford Falcons so wanted to keep the theme and stay with Ford with our van. The equivalent of the transit like toyota hiace, nissan homy van, mitsi l300 etc are still too narrow and expensive. The transit in my eyes is much roomier and more bang for your buck.Thanks. Brendon
