Postby loot » Wed May 22, 2019 8:45 pm

What year is cheap tax?

I know 56 mk7 is, £140 ish. I read that it was from 2002 to 2006 and 2010 or 11.

But does anyone be specifics?
Or a link to it, i did check but not sure I believe what it said

Oh, unless the Internet meant vehicles, so other makes which are euro 4 which could have been those dates? But Ford are just 56 plate mk7 then?

Its wether or not the vehicle is euro 4-5 complient purely based on emissions, you can ask DVLA to reconsider it but has to be tested over and over

I guess the thing is that Ford transit 09-10 probably aren't euro 5 unless tourneo or special type? Hence we don't see them cheap tax?

Correct, no Mk7's were Euro5 during the cheap tax year, so we get to pay the full whack

I don't know :? Did anyone make a euro5 medium panel van in that year :?:

The only reason that I bought the 1.6 TDCi Focus (rather than the 2 litre) was the twenty quid road tax, yet put the same engine in a Connect, and we're paying megabucks again

Ours is not to question why.......

Evolution of road tax.

1.to keep the roads maintained financially.
2.to pay for abusing the environment.
3.to help vehicle sales and obviously pave the way for incentives to the government and unscrupulous dealings which following the chain probably funds 3rd World activities.

So remember every time you switch your air conditioning on, 3 llamas die.
