Transit interior facelift

Postby Starsky72 » Fri Jul 05, 2019 5:44 pm

Has anyone ordered one of the new transits?

I'm considering one, just waiting on some ££ figures from the local ford dealer, Kapoor red is tempting me :)

I've got one on order (not for me though) expected in a few weeks.
Can't wait to see the new dash!

Thanks, but I’m not talking about a custom

They are both made by Ford and sold by Ford salesmen

Indeed, while the MCA Custom has been out for a year, we are still waiting with bated breath for the MCA proper Transit.

I picked up an MCA Transit yesterday.

The new interior is lovely!

Lots of small changes.
For some reason the rear high level brake light now has a massive black plastic surround.

The one that made me laugh was a small sticker with a picture showing 'no mobile phones' above the infamous little door pocket near the dash.

There's now a cup holder below the gear lever (but not on the auto), and another little bin in the centre. Losing the lid to the cubby above the speedo is a shame.

The big screen is standard on Trend.

They now put a metal bezel round the driver's door lock. We'll change that for a rep lock anyway.
