mk7 wiring questions?

Postby adamv6 » Fri Jul 06, 2007 9:08 pm

85/260 mk7 07 plate

i need to find an ignition switched wire to run my inverter in the back, doesn't need to carry many amps as i can run it through a relay.

also i'm thinking of putting my amp in and wondering if there is any rca/aux out from the standard 6000cd radio.

you can by an aux lead from fords for about £8 but you have to ask for an auxilliary lead for a ford fusion as they dont recognise it for the mk7 tranny :?

Dont mean to be ignorant but what are rca leads :? If you put ford aux into search/buy on ebay it usually has a few on there for sale hope that helps :)

i've had a look and it seems that the aux adapter lead has a stereo jack input.

i need to get an output from rca's (phono plugs) but it seems that this isn't an option.

looks like if i want to connect an amp then i'd have to use the speaker outputs.

thanks anyway Azer.

You can buy leads that have a 3.5mm stereo jack plug on one end and two phono plugs on the other. Or any combination of plugs/sockets to match.

thanks pippin but the aux lead with the jack input is an input into the radio, i was looking for an output for an amp.
