All terrain tyres

I know this has been covered before a while back but whats every ones thoughts, I need to fit some 215 75 R16c tyres something a bit better for fields fed up of having to grovel to people to drag me off moist grass verges when at race meets. van is Rwd.

I had bf goodridge mud terrain on the back of a van very grippy but excessive body roll

What's the road noise like on those? My M+S tyres don't half howl on the tarmac

mega whine people could hear me 1/2 mile before they seen me kinda like a fubar diff whine

Got BFG AT Ko2 and found them pretty good all round. No real road noise over the normal din inside a tin can with a whiney diff
But did have grief in a muddy field. it's about the only place I've struggled.

Other option is a wee Chinese compressor to hide in the back.
Let tyres down to 10-20psi and flatfoot your way out once out bang your pressure back up to desired road settings.
Just ordered one of these. Will see how it goes once it arrives

Thanks guys I have been reading mixed reviews of various tyres some saying good others slating. I have looked at the BFG tyres pricey cheapest i found 126 quid i won't going above 60moh on the motorway due to hauling the wobbly box .
I wasn't sure which way to go but heading to the scrappy for some spare steel wheels so i can just swap wheels when i need to go up into the forests which will be only once a month in the winter. I have got to do something at the moment slight bit of rain and it's i'm going to get stuck.

I have kingpin ditchfinders on my van retreaded M+S tyres £130 for 4 plus fitting, nay been too bad and I haven't got stuck down the redneck roads yet

As Davy says they howl like a straight cut gearbox

Cheers not made any decisions yet as the van went for it's mot today and sailed through no advisories, I was expecting having to fix things the only thing they will deal with is probably a touch of mud and some wet grass some grip is better than no grip and trying to avoid having to be dragged out especially when trying to drag the caravan as well look like the clampits going down the road.
