yep and alt to loom is exactly the same - the only thing different is later Di's have a starter solenoid relay, ie a relay that operates the starter solenoid - rather than direct

Magic! fairly sure mine is direct feed to started solenoid so happy days

so with the prop on the mk2 if i cut off the di prop end machine it true and have it welded to the mk2 prop (@ correct length) is it pretty simple from here?

gbox mounting plate/member from 92 onto mk2 yes?

cut out new hole for shift stick in floor?

then i need a fuel return to the tank, mount header tank and rad, much else?

when i changed the bloody prop it was a bolted flange so its mt75?

do you allready have an mt75 - if so you wont need to touch the prop or box

Sorry i am chopping and changing, i have a 92 swb with di and mt75
i plan to use this as a donor for my 1981 lwb pinto 4 speed

i.e. scrap th pinto and 4 speed and fit di and mt75 into mk2

am i making any sense?

right yes

to do a pukka job you can chop the bit of the floor out of the mk4 and weld it into the mk2

make room for the box - it will fit without it but only just - best do this especially if you have a donor van

you'll also need to slightly mod the the mt75 cross member as its off a swb van do you have a welder

Yes i follow, makes sense as i have the donor, would it be wise to match the diff to the engine and box or no need?

so to recap, replace tunnel for later to fit mt75, gbox x-member bolt straight in or do i need to redrill of fabricate new mount?

engine go straight on pinto mounts?
