Thanks, Jay, and it has a funny story about how I got this.
I never looked for a camper or a Ford Transit. To be honest, I didn't want to own a Ford anymore. I owned an Escort RS2000 MK2 and a Sierra in the 80s, I always had big technical issues in these cars.
We were looking for some new summer tires for my girlfriends Astra. We found a private advertisement for 4 brand new tires from an elderly guy.
As we went to his house, about 25 miles away, he led us to a big barn. He opened up a small door in the big gate to show us the tires ( yes, they were brand new
)
When I had a look at the tires, I saw a Ford Transit nose smiling at me in the right corner of my eye. It was covered under a big layer of dust. I recognized that the vehicle had no registration plates. Then I looked up and saw this camper, which sat there for 12 years.
After short negotiations, I bought the vehicle for a very reasonable price.
Since then I'm afraid to buy new tires from private.
If you see the tree you will hit, it is called an understeer.
If you just hear and feel the impact, it is called oversteer.
