It'll change the revs but nothing else in aware of. Cruise switches off with clutch pressed but will still function the same.

Front and rear axles need to match don't they? You'll be burning against each other I would think?

Yes hence why in changing rear ratio from 3.58 to 3.73
But depending on the system some have a higher (lead) ratio at the front for cornering turning circle reasons.

I found it in the 60274 option. There was a tyre size thing but there was also a tyre circumference thing. The tyres on the particular van weren't listed so I set it to User Size (or whatever). I calculated the circumference and found a value in the drop down list that was within about 2mm of my calculation, so went for that.

I wonder though will the biggest option be the standard 16s at 2205 or whatever?

I had 255 55 18 on my mk7 and they were 9mm larger diameter but close enough 8)

I'm running 225/75R16 with a rolling circ of 2337 or dia of 774
STD 16" for this van is 215/75 @ 2289 & 729

So haven't found any settings close to what I need.
Here's a list of other codes to help bollox your van electronics in funky ways

The only 2 useful options I found were engineering mode and rcm mode.

The rest I didn't find much response to and any I did I didn't know what I was doing so stayed away from the big red button as it were.

I would have liked to done a new vehicle configuration that allowed me to write a 140ps map over the 130ps map. I'll have to do it manually though, just need to wait until someone is passing in a sport van :P beep beep loot.

Anyway did you solve the speedo conundrum?

Nah it can wait, I need to plug in and reactivate RCL tonight,(and that's all) as last night while buggering about trying things I turned it off then forgot to turn it back on again so it's been say open over night and today again by the time I finished last night I couldn't be arsed plugging back in as it was nearly morning already.

In not sure about pcm update.

It can do everything else though. You only use pcm update once generally but if your van is newer than 2011 eg then it isn't really needed.

If you are computer savvy and plan on making money on other ppls vans including pcm updates etc then ids is a good investment, if you plan on tinkering with your own van then forscan is quick, cheap and easy.

I'm any case you want ids vcm sp177-c1
