converting to daytime running lights

i have a 2018 ford transit custom facelift model which just had standard headlights. i have just replaced with new daytime running lights. the problem i have is when i goto side lights or head lights the drl lights dont work. plus they dont dim when using indicators. i have spoken to 3 ford main dealers and they cant help. does it need reprograming any help please

I think that is normal my mk8 does that as well as my Toyota

hi pal thx for your reply but its not normal my mate has one with drl lights and when he puts his side light on. his drl just dim down. mine go off soon as i switch to side lights. so hence i have no side lights at the front

Without going to where the van is parked up mine has standard side light bulbs as is older then you’re drls are a bulb also .
