How to remove pitmann arm on steering box ?

Hi
Does any have an good ideer, How to remove pitmann arm on steering box ?
On an Transit MK1 1977 ?
I have an pullig on it and tryed with electric heat , so it was red
no sh*t happens
any ideers ?

you need a hydraulic puller to remove the arm

Hi Neil
How do you have space for an tre legs puller ??
and there is not that much space betwin wing and pit mann arm
So i think it has to be an total other kind, with only 2 arms,,,, sorry

I use a 2 arm Sykes Pickavnt hydraulic puller, you must not use heat as it will ruin the seals & bushes in the box. I could loan my puller for a week or so if it will help you? Ralph

i made a couple of pullers for mine one for the pas and one for the non pas

How does removing the column help remove the arm or allow a 3 legged puller?

How does removing the column help remove the arm or allow a 3 legged puller?

it doesnt ralph,,,, only removed the arm after ive cut the mount out the inner wing then split the two on the bench :D :D
