147k I think.

Is smoking and holding back today, it beeps at ignition on and the mil is still on, it should have cleared so I need to read codes, similar problem to my turbo. Maybe the nozzle is blocked although it seemed smooth enough, maybe actuator had broken wire. Needs investigating.

It might be my actuator as it seems to be the common denominator, if I unplug it then there's absolutely no smoke (maybe defaults) and there's no torque at all.

Done nearly everything now apart from check the exhaust, I tapped the cay to make sure it wasn't rattling inside.

Yes, proper if u floor it and there's no power at all. If I unplug the actuator it must default because there's no power the same as but no smoke at all. That must rule out a lot of things.
Might need to set fire to it

Right so i have p0299
Low turbo boost, I had the eml on for a week since the repair and cleared it today then read it again at work 3 miles later and no eml but that code.
So ill check if the actuator is moving, I'll also fit the new egr again

The only time mine ever blew black was when there was a pinhole rubbed through on the clearish fuel pipe that runs to pump, rubber water hose was sitting on the fuel pipe and rubbed it through and cause the hose was on the hole it blocked the hole so ran normal until you accelerate then you get problem again ...... Drove me nuts hahaha

I’ve blew black smoke when the boost pipe was split, it makes me wonder if you have a boost leak somewhere especially as it’s only rolling coal when the actuator is plugged in.

My reasoning for this is the pcm is seeing boost so upping the fuel but the fuel air mix isn’t correct in the cylinder creating black smoke.

Mine throws up high boost and low boost codes at times but put it down the stuck egr
Let me know if you still want actuator and ill look it oot mr loot and send it oot later today or tomorrow morning and should get to you Monday

My reasoning for this is the pcm is seeing boost so upping the fuel but the fuel air mix isn’t correct in the cylinder creating black smoke.

Think it’s been smoking since December, I believe the intake manifolds can split on the mk7 but I may have dreamt that
