Loving it so far. Seems to be a standard limited model albeit with navigation built in. Which I’ll never use as I use CarPlay.
Managed to update sync software from 2.2 to 3 so that’s a plus too.
One thing I’ve noticed.... it doesn’t have start stop, was that an extra? This is a 2018 model but it is a facelift. There’s no button for turning it on or off etc so I assume it doesn’t have it?
Also is there any easy way (without removing seat) to see if it has one battery or two?
Should be an ECO mode button there (see photo) if there isn't then no start stop (I thought mine had it thanks to the dealership saying it did bit it doesn't
I used a USB drive and downloaded from the website. I have an issue at the moment though where it still says I have an update (after uploading the file to Ford) which I downloaded and tried to install. Problem is now it just shows an error and from a google it appears that It’s a corrupted install.
I’m in touch with Ford Sync team about it and the unit still works fine. I believe it’s on the latest software anyway as apparently 2018 models can only run up to Sync version 3.0 officially. Whereas newer ones can run the latest 3.4 update.
Yeah I know what you mean, having said that it would probably be more beneficial to you because you’ve got the built in sat nav. I’ve not got a laptop so haven’t even been able to update my version from Ford website mine is on version 3 but an outdated build I believe.
Mine is 2019, no modem. When I use my phone as a hotspot and connect the van it finds a new update and starts downloading but the progress bar never moves which is very annoying.
