Yeah ulez, i could handle.....if i drive in it, its £12 per day, but this lez, which goes everywhere within m25, you have to pay £100. Your van was only a couple of months younger than mine. And like mine, was under 3.5 tonne, and had a euro 3 engine, so is it an age cut off point that khans going for now! My van was always ok for driving in lez, but since march, its suddenly not!

TFL replied to me asking why my one, which was previously classified by them as a car, but is now classed as a van just saying commercial vehicles need to be euro 3...

It was madatory that all vehicle first registered after a date in 2002 (Jan or March, can't remember) so anything registered after that is automatically deemed to be euro 3, and anything before that Euro 2 or less. Which is not actually the case. They seem to have lost the Euro 3 early adopters list - and you may need to talk nicely to your Ford Dealer, or ford Head Office etc asking them to confirm the van was built to Euro 3 standards and then send that to TFL to update their records?

I just checked mine which is a 2005 Mk6 SWB T280.

It says mine incurs the ULEZ charge but doesn't mention the LEZ - which I think concurs with what Matt posted as mine is after the current 2002 assumption by TFL.

However, there is a note on the checker that states the ULEZ (you are all talking about LEZ) will expand to the North and South circular roads in October - I assume at the same time LEZ expands to the M25, so charging will get worse then anyway.

All the more reason for me to stay away from the big smoke as much as possible! I do feel for those of you that now have vans stuck in the zone.

Lez has already expanded to the m25, and has for a number of years. Think your ok on m25 itself, but its everywhere inside it!

Enquired in ford dealers at orpington kent, about getting some kind of official letter saying my van conforms to euro 3. But met with slightly baffled looks, ....said they couldnt do anything, ....suggest write to ford motor company? More or less told, i just have to accept what the lez checker says,....and probably there is an age cut-off point.
Slowly losing the will to live! Lol. Will carry on trying, but beginning to think, theres nothing i can do, short of moving to kent!! Someone elses mk 6 is compliant, but its registered march 2002, whereas mine is nov 2001. Is this the cause of it? An age cut-off point. Terry

Is there not a line in the ETIS information that states the emissions class?

Something like "Emissions: Stage 3 emissions" (Mk6)

That would be proof, wouldn't it?

The lez an ulez both sound like a big con to me, you pay your ved to drive on the roads then have to pay more to er drive on the roads :?

If I was paying £xx amount a day to drive in the lez or uselez then I’d make sure to be rolling coal while sound so

Does anyone know, how many mk 6 owners there are in greater london, particularly 51 plate owners, .....have you been affected by lez, have any of you successfully overturned tfls catogarisation of your van?

Coc.....certificate of conformity, has anyone applied for one of these? Are they free? Have sent email off to fords about maybe getting one. Have heard tfl may accept this as proof of eligibility for driving in lez. Terry
