What makes the difference between the 85/ 90/ 115 etc is it a larger turbo, bigger intercooler or different ECU programing.....

85Ps is a 2.0 engine fitted in the front wheel drive

90 Ps is a 2.4 engine fitted to the rear wheel drive

The 115 was a power upgrade of the 2.4, to get the extra power it used the turbo charger from the 125ps engine with the same pump from the 125Ps, the calibration of the power train control module is unique to the 115

The intercoolers are the same for 90/115/125 rwd but the turbochargers are different between 90Ps and 125Ps

Hope that helps

Hey Nighthawk you seem to be the man for these sort of questions.
What is the difference bewteen the older 100ps and 115ps 2.5TD engines?
It seems from my initial investigation that it is just the addition of the intercooler. Does this mean I can just fit an intercooler? Or is the ECU mapping different?

There was a different calibration for the PCM,

The EPIC PCM is supplied blank as a service replacement item and then details of what you want it to be are input into WDS, wds will then program the module. However it's a one shot process, get it wrong and the PCM is fubar unlike the PCM used on current Tddi transits where you can force a flash calibration if you know the file names

As ar as i'm aware thats the only difference....but i'll check the pump part numbers tomorrow out of interest.....
