MK5 Bosch Conversion Australia

Postby Fat80y » Sat Feb 26, 2022 10:37 pm

Hi All,

Hoping someone can help me out - I live near Newcastle Australia, and we only got epic transits over here.

Need an accelerator pedal, and the the rear mounting bracket for epic to bosch conversion.

I already have a pump, and it appears accelerator cables are still available on ebay.

Not looking for charity, happy to pay market price and postage, as my only alternative is to remove parts from my existing conversion and have copies made!

Can anyone assist?

When you say rear bracket... there are 2 parts to it, one that bolts directly to the back of the pump, and the other joins that to the block - which part do you mean?

I definately have new/genuine lower brackets and probably have a pedal too

Hi Matt,

Sorry I forgot there was two brackets. I originally assumed I just needed the small one that bolts to the block.

I'll double check tomorrow (Friday) if I need the large bracket that bolts to the pump as well...

Please keep a pedal aside for me, and if you can source a cable I'd like to get from you as well.

Thanks

Sorry was sick for a bit

Do I have the correct large bracket?

Also the throttle arm sees to pull from the left rather than the right?

0 460 414 150 is a pump fitted to Transits, the throttle arm looks correct but it seems to be missing the ball stud that he cable fits onto on the right hand side of the mechanism.

Thanks Chug.

That exploded diagram is fantastic.

Looks like I am also missing the control lever 388.

Anyone able to assist?

I can definitely supply the other part of the bracket you need (new old stock genuine part) - £30 plus the postage, the operating arm looks like its all there to me (except for the ball - I can probably nick that from one of my knackered pumps)

I don't have a pedal at the moment - sorry

I found an old top lever bit with 2 of the balls on last night - its a bit manky but will do the job.

Won't go in the post until friday now though
