E Reg Transit 2.5 190 PAS Retrofit.

Postby Galahad » Fri Dec 02, 2005 10:00 pm

Is this possible? Its a Beavertailed Transit taking cars to their deaths, so theres extra weight there.

When she's fully loaded, shes a pig to turn unless moving. Please god tell me this is possible!

Also, what does '190' mean?

Would have to check the front end, I haven't given the underside much of a look! Yes rears are twin wheeled.

190 = 1.9 Tonnes weight limit!! thats including the back!!

If should be a leaf spring/ kingpins front end on yours!
before considering PAS - which is quite expensive i'd whack some grease in the kingpins and check the tracking!! :D
generally with a beavertail alot of the weight is behind the back axle taking weight off the front, so it shouldnt be that heavy on the steering!!

i was going to say the same ,the king pins might not have been greased for along time , if not look around for a old minibus from around g to j reg twin wheel ,it was a option but not many had it ! but if you are in the breakers alot keep a look out! :)

I have carryed jags on mine (not very often and when it works) that takes me to just under 4T all up and my sterring aint that heavy with 50 psi but i dont have the extra long wheel base so theres a lot hanging over the beaver lifting the front.
