Brake servo again

Please can you help ? 2014 Transit 2.2 fwd, 2 years ago brake servo failed garage said they rarely fail come to brake yesterday,pedal rock hard & heard what sounded like air escaping under pressure, surely the brake servo hasn't failed again? I am waiting for my mechanic to take a look. Could it be something else? Ie easier fix? Hose or valve? Desperate to get back on the road. Thanks

Great thanks,but I'm no mechanic,no idea where to even look,I'm thinking split pipe ,easy if you know where to look,happened on brake failure now they have no servo asssist.
