yes that manual pic you posted is for the single cam pinto engine.. you need a Sierra manual with the doc engine in it. mk2 Sierra was fitted with same engine think its a gls Sierra. they are good engines as long as oil and filter done. sometimes the cam chain can rattle if wrong oil or if it needs changing and cam chain tensioner can stick if abused

For help with engine problems you can look on this forum /www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl I was sure they have the engine manual for 2.0 dohc on there somewhere. For everything other than the motor it's the same as any other Mk 5. I also have 1997 2.0 DOHC on lpg and never had a mechanical problem in the 14 years I have had it.

Hi Tragusto , your symptoms are of the fuel line pressure relief valve located on the injector rail . It should be same as Scorpio/Sierra/escort rs2000/ Galaxy
You don't tell us which country you are in as some countries it may be very hard to find , the petrol pump itself is fairly cheap and easy to change as well, they sell them on eBay for around €20 it's the same as a fiesta/ka/escort but you have to fit it inside a cage that screws into the petrol tank

Hello.

Thanx for all the info.

As of now.

Fuel pump replaced.
Cranckshaft sensor replaced.
Two wires (Colse to engine-Pic to follow) with a melted cower has been fixed. Seems to be shortcutted when engine getting hot.

Car being picked up in a couple of days to try out.
