Repainting tow step and rear access ladder

Postby dilalio » Mon Aug 12, 2024 8:26 am

My transit is ex utility and was kitted out with Bristor components.
It has a big rear platform with tow bar and I had a Rhino roof access ladder and rack fitted.

The rear step is a perforated surface and is galvanised I think.

I've taken it off and cleaned up the sub frame and will prime that with epoxy primer and a top coat of black.

But as for the cover step, not sure what type of paint to coat that with so it is non-slip! Don't want to go too mad with it as I'm not after a body shop job.

Just looking what might be the best paint to use and it needs to be in JCB or AA yellow.

And the ladder in black - again anti-slip.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks
Dean

Thanks Mark,

Really hoping someone can recommend a brand like hammerite or owt.

I'll take a look and maybe give a chandler's a call.

another way is just to add block paving sand to paint , see your local utilities company see if you can get off them double yellow line paint.
