ISO equiv parts for 99 2.0l petrol transit bus in Australia

Postby terryplaysmusic » Sat Sep 21, 2024 6:12 am

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently purchased a converted 2.0 99 petrol transit (it’s mk5 right?) and am need of some parts to get my roadworthy. I’m finding it very hard to find parts in Australia for this particular model! (I’m in melbourne)

Dos anyone have any leads for a wrecker in Australia with a similar model?
Or any ideas of equivalent parts I could use from newer or diesel models?

Looking for:
Power steering pump
High pressure steering line
Right hand engine mount
Rear differential
Heater fan
Rear exhaust pipe
Bonnet/hood grommets

Thanks everyone for your time and this amazing community!

Do you have the Ford Galaxy 2.0 in Australia, it has almost the same engine as the Transit, I say almost because I seen a YT video from Russia that said about something needed to be changed if you were to mount it inline as opposed to transverse to avoid overheating. The steering pump should be the same as see them here listed for Transit-Galaxy.

Supercheap and BNT in NZ are not too bad for fast moving parts
