Clutch pedal low. Clutch pedal high

Postby Parcel » Sun Nov 17, 2024 10:42 am

Hello,
Just put a new clutch in the van.
Old one had started making noise and bite point was right at bottom of pedal travel.
Turns out clutch arm probably wasn’t on pivot properly and bearing was worn out.
New clutch is much lighter and smoother but bit point is right at top of pedal.
Got a ratchet adjuster so nothing to adjust there.
Any ideas?

You adjust the clutch by lifting the pedal up to its stop it lets the wheel to move round and adjust the free play I charged my pedal with the manual adjustable cable can’t remember if it was a mk3 onto a mk5 or the
other way round,
Also not had it myself bet the clutch arm does bend

The pedal is always high with the ratchet clutch pedal tbh.

Thanks.
