2018 2.0L EcoBlue Starting Issue

Postby thebrownyfamily » Wed Dec 11, 2024 11:11 pm

I really need help I'm begging lol

THIS IS THE VAN NO ONE CAN FIX. FORD NOPE, INDEPENDANTS NOPE, DIESEL SPECIALISTS NOPE.

Over 5k in parts and 5k in labour after changing
LPP
HPP
HEAD
4 X INJECTORS
FUEL LINES
GLOW PLUGS
GLOW PLUG RELAY
CAM AND CRANK SENSORS
NEW BATTERY/STARTER/ALTERNATOR

And still the same, after its been left not running for 1-2 days its a nightmare to start as soon as it starts it will run all day perfectly starting every time

what make it hard is there NO fault codes all the 4/5 different computer think is fine.

What I've found with a Noid light is all the time its wont start there no light or a very dim light, when it does start firing or runs then the Noid light start flashing and working brightly.

the Noid light tells me the injectors are opening to firer fuel hence the starting issues, but what is causing this to play around and how can i fix it of over ride it?

what components does the Noid light rely on to work so I can check them all?

~I really really would appreciate help on this one this as been going on 10months :-(

A lot of power goes to the starter motor when turning it over ..perhaps that is why the noid light is dim..so maybe normal...if not i would start looking at the grounds related to the fuel injection system.

to find out where they are you need the manual

think its here

bemm manual

The ground check that was done, may only have been done on the starter and battery ...I'm just trying to give you the easy options, that, if done by yourself, will cost you nothing.

You can keep going to these garages, some of which just plug in the scanner ...and it will come up with multiple items that are faulty ..when it all may be down to grounds..and they have replaced lots of stuff that possibly does not need replacing ..they call it the "parts cannon"
BTW - what's the mileage. because anytime after 60,000 it needs a new wetbelt which is not going to be cheap.

Hi,
Can you help me? It seems, I have a same problem in a Transit EcoBlue engine.

After 1-2 days it is not starts, but sometimes after 1week everything fine, starts as usual when everything normal.

Can you tell me what was the solution of the problem?

I have changed a battery, EGR valve, checked starter engine. The next step is fuel system, but if I check it via computers, everything is good. Pressures, synchronisation, signs, and no DTC.

Thanks If you can give me some information.

He hasn't been back here since Dec last year, so we may never know. Unless he gets notifications he probably won't return.
