I fitted 2 rigid solar panels to the top of my caravan a couple of years ago and they are pretty good for the price.

I did have to buy a couple of other bits too. Including 2 big leisure batteries from Halfords.

I got an eco worthy flexible. Cheap, 100 ah lithium battery abd discrete. In my opinion as long as it powers an electric blanket over night and a small peltier fridge in summer, I'm happy. If it stops working I'll glue another on top if I can rip it off.

rigid every time for me, ive replaced a lot of flexi pannels on narrow boats they overheat then delaminate, rarely last more than 3 years if outside all the time, ect, ect if you have a roof rack system the install can be as uninvasive as a flexy install

if you have a roof rack system ....

I was looking at fitting to a roofrack but the awning on the NS stops a roofrack being fitted but then I sawa van with a roofrack and the awning fitted to the roofrack legs.
