pilot learn fail. low voltage

Postby l200lc2 » Mon Mar 03, 2025 3:08 pm

evening gents.. i'm getting pilot learn fail fault 41 low voltage.

i've taken readings from obd2 pins.

4 and 5 ground
6 can bus high 2.6v
7 k line 5.3v
14 can bus low 2.6v
16 +12 always on 12.6v

am i right in thinking k line should be 12v at start fluctuating when running?

ive done so much looking stuff up i think ive fried my brain.

any help would be very welcome.

cheers. lee

Assume you're using Forscan..?? What model van..?? Twin batteries or single.??

Forscan suggests you should use a battery charger/booster whilst doing the learns.

Assuming you have replaced the SCV and/or PRV..?? Was the SCV a genuine Ford/Denso item..??

Yes both genuine items replaced. It's a twin battery both fully charged with my car attached with 35mm jump leads and a good quality battery charger connected. The only way I could get more power to it is to connect it directly to the house 240v

I took it out and had it tested. I cleaned the mounting surfaces and the connectors to make sure all a good connection. I'm running out of ideas

I'd suggest (if poss) removing the second battery and with it plugged into a charger on the only remaining one, do that.
