EGR blanking plate

I have an EGR blanking plate. If I install it without doing anything to the ECU, will it go into limp home mode, or any other negative effects from the inevitable engine light which will come on?

Depends on what model Transit you have, you don't say?? Most Mk6's don't care...Mk7 Euro-4 will throw a fault light and eventually go into Limp mode unless mapped out....Euro-5 will throw a light but normally won't go into limp mode.

Best to either get the EGR working as it should...or get it mapped out...no real need to blank it as it will be permanenly closed anyway....but many people do to be sure.
