Is Your Van Feeling Bogged Down, Gasping for air, sputtering

made an interesting discover yesterday and I can't believe this happen and it works. I was checking my handwork form the day before where I added the lubegard to the transmission. The seals look fine, but what didn't look fine was the two small intake tubes mounted to the front grille leading down to the air box. At some point these tubes and connecting tube had been broken and wouldn't connect back up in the correct orientation. (as shown in this image ar part #9 and #10) So instead of trying to glue or tape the tubes back together, I simply removed them.

later I took the van for a drive and something happen, it was more responsive and even sounded like we had the engines tuned almost like we installed a turbo the van. At idle speeds the van is silent and crews around normally, But punchit and the van comes to life.. At first the noise scared me cause it sounded like someone removed the cat or something was broken in the exhaust. without my knowledge, these tube connections leading down to the intake box were restricting the air intake, thus causing your van to perform and idle poorly. For the longest time I though it was just poor gasoline, and I kept switching stations hoping this would correct this issue.

Boy was I wrong, these tube obstructed and limit the air into your air box, with these removed, you've create a cold air intake using OE parts. the air box has a hole in the side where these tubes lead down into it.. with the tubes gone, more air allowed into the intake. I couldn't believe it the van runs 10x better and actually sounds like it's been tuned but only when you accelerate on the open road.

So if you van seems to be bogged down, running poorly even hesitating.. remove part 9 and part 10 from the intake system and you'll thank me for finding this cure.

Drove to PA form MD today which is a drive of about 3 hours one way and what a difference.. the van sounded better and all without any sputtering or histitaion. It's really amazing what these intake tubes have done to limited the air from getting into the air box.. removing these tubes has made a big difference in the van's performance, Yet some are saying I've removed the cold air intakes when I removed these tubes.. But I have plenty of air coming into the engine when I removed the slats and molded fabric skid plate. As a sie note, I may contact the 3D printer guy and ask if can design something that I can use in conjunction with my red snorkel flange.
