A-series 4x4?

Postby Granadadriver » Sun Apr 29, 2007 8:51 pm

Saw today an A-series 4x4 tipper on german autobahn which looked professionally converted to me, not home made! I tried google search and the A-series site, but found nothing! :o :( Did County tractors made them? :? Could someone bring light into the dark?

Thanks in advance,

Stefan

Hi
It sounds like it might have been a Renolds Boughton (think that is how you spell it). There was one on ebay a while back.
I think they were made in the UK so its a long way from home.

Manythanks Steve! :D

I've tried google again with the "Reynolds Boughton" name and found it!

http://www.ebroadcast.com.au/ecars/Reyn ... /RB44.html

You're right, that's the one I saw yesterday! 8) Same odd grille I saw in the rearview mirror!

I'm just wondering it isn't badged as a Ford! :o

Cheers,

Stefan

NAM Newton Abbot Motors made a 4x4 'A' series called The HILLBILLY which is a fine looking machine. Maybe you saw one of those.....

Also have Reynolds Boughton RB44 with crewcab, luton box and 3 ton winch - ex electricity board. They are no longer A-Series but Dodge 50 series with Perkins 440 Phaser Turbo engines. Mine is 1990.
1994 County 190
1995 County 190 (broke).......things afoot
Reynolds Boughton RB44 1990
Fiddling with stuff. Still fiddling......just more stuff.
