Mk7 puma engine got rattle bottom end of timing chain case/sump 5w/30 oil changed and oil filter no
Codes but oil light flashes few seconds then goes out could it be timing chain chain guard oil pump can I put video on here advice be great

Does the rattle go after start up or carry on ?

As Dan said what van is it?
My EU5 had an oustanding recall for the oil pump when I bought it 7 years ago. Fords changed it for nothing.

Hi Dan cheers no carry’s on , it’s a euro 4 wonder if crank pulley or a bearing will have another look but don’t want to run it to much.

Could do with hearing it..

Whip the belt off and listen if it goes…

Oil light flickering is suspect though…

Possibly the pump / chain.

What millage is it on ? Has it had a chain in recent history?
