I have been servicing and repairing a fleet of the new transit vans LONG WHEEL BASE TURBO MODEL
the 'auto ones always get tow buy a truck 2 times a month
with probs, the clutch burns out at 40,000 to 60,000
if you drive nice
starter motors burn out
'timing chain ralltes after 30,000 ks
and the bloody weak flywheel [D M type] blows to bits or fails at 30,000ks
45,000ks 68,000ks
and i have had lots of probs with injector pumps [air locks] said the ford repairs
and front brake rotors a 6mm lip worn on them after 46,000ks and failed a cof
oh the brake drums are soft like butter too and try to get one off with a worn lip on it .there is NO hole in the backing plate to de- adjust the brake shoes
to get it off
[had to cut it off]
servicing costs are very high!!!!!
5w 30 diesel oil 7lts aprox $75.00[ if u can find it!!
tiny oil filter $35 aprox
and price the 16" tyres [8 ply] wow !
and get a spare oil filter plastic bottom before u undo the old one 9/10 these
shatter when you undo them to get the filter out
dont forget to repace the "o' ring too!!!!!!!!!!!!
