Finished stripping the campervan conversion out of the van in readiness for the welding next week. With the camper buts out I can see the ventilation around the wheelarches which is why the yellow crayon was used in excess on the MOT. When I rebuild the van I'll be adding soundproof and insulation as thete was none when the previous owner had it converted. I've got till late October to get it rebuilt in readiness for the honeymoon.

Phonecall from the MOT garage this morning, the van passed the MOT and all the yellow crayon on the chassis has been dealt with along with new pads, a wheel bearing and track rod ends on the front axle. Apart from an advisory about a frayed seatbelt Bessie is good to go.
I now have the job of rebuilding the interior but having an operation on Monday means I'm off sick but unable to do anything heavy till next week, OHs orders. She's allowed me to do little minor jobs like cleaning the interior etc.

Today I rigged up a 12vdc to 24vdc converter to allow me run my CPAP machine.
Went for a more premium converter and analysed 24vdc as a previous cheapy one showed voltage spikes on energising, so didn't want to risk frying expensive CPAP.

I fitted a boost gauge! I bought an eBay special and have fitted it to the dashboard on the passenger side (the vacuum hose was not long enough to fit on the drivers side). I’ve let my inner chav come out because it will be interesting to keep an eye on my turbo. Plus if it’s good enough for Lord Knobrot…..

Tapi tapi tapi, I somehow missed this, I was toying with the idea of air shocks for the rear (not air bags) is the spring brakes as well

Eldest son fitted one in the A pillar trim in his Focus TDDi, I never worked out what its purpose was

I'm more of a Voltmeter/Ammeter, oil pressure gauge kind of guy

As you are talking about gauge, do you know if the ScanGauge II works well on the transit 2.4 tdci?

Aye the boost gauge saved lucifers engine from running away, noticed I had no boost stopped the van to find the turbine part of the turbo had snapped off, the oil pressure gauge is more important I think

Did a little bit more of the stretchy carpet stuff, need to order more for the drivers door and get some matt black plastic paint for the door grab/window switch and door handle

That looks very nice! Which stuff did you buy. I want to get some and have been told you get what you pay for. YouTube recommended Harrison trim supplies. They could have been sponsored though…

I used this stuff off eBay, 3x2m was £20 it’s seems ok for the price baring in mind my vans a work van so probably going to get paint or something on it so didn’t want to spend a fortune
