St225 into mk2 connect

Postby Johnb92 » Mon Sep 29, 2025 12:02 am

Hi all I can buy a rear ended 5 pot st3 for a good price I’m thinking of putting it into my mk2 connect the question is where to start when it comes to the wiring side of things mechanically I have no issues but sorting out the loom and getting everything wired correctly seems like an impossible job anyone out here already done it or is there anyone that could point me in the right direction how to overcome the wiring thanks all

Problem 1, 5 cylinders says to me its wider ,, the connect has barely any room for 4 cylinders.
Problem 2, all your electronics are for running a diesel engine.
Problem 3 is it the right euro standard to pass an MOT. you'll need the exhaust system as well .

Estimate with all the problems involved it will take you a many hundreds hours to sort out . let us know in two years time how you got on .

all the best.mark
