No power when trying to start van

Hi all , vans been slow starting for some time now and today its just dead i been out and bout in it today 16th Oct some 40 miles got back home switched it off to open gates tried starting it and nothing not even click sounds just dead. Funny thing though all the electric windows work and lights. Any ideas please. Thanks in advance.

Ignition switch is a common fail point..

Is the PATS light flashing fast..??

If its been slow starting then maybe the starter has packed up.

Sorry dont know what pats light is but nothing is flashing fast all seems normal just nothing from engine no clicking from relay nothing.

PATS is "Passive Anti-theft System", it's the red flashing light you normally see in the dash when the vehicle is not running, normally once every couple of seconds. If it's flashing fast when the ignition is turned on, the BCM has lost communication with the passive chip in the key and it will never start.

Ingition switch would be my next port of call....they fail all the time.
