2015 Transit 250 Prop Shaft Bearing/Steady Bearing replacem

Postby Michelle-BC-Canada » Tue Oct 21, 2025 5:19 am

I have a 2015 Ford Transit CVT250, Medium Roof 130wb 3.7L non-turbo with 96,000 miles that had the recall work done, replacing the one drive shaft. We had a slight shutter when driving higher speeds so pulled the shaft. Ford says the steady bearing (sometimes called prop shaft bearing) and the shaft are all one part and you cannot purchase just the bearing. We have heard/seen that it can be replaced but cannot find information on what part is the right part. Before we take ours off and risk replacing the whole shaft, I wanted to see if anyone here has done it and if so, what part to use.

Additional info:
The shaft is NPCK 4W-4817-FB,
The steady bearing has KAC and 0066200 on it.
We have rotated the shaft 180 degrees as suggested online and will try that for now until we know.
Also, the transmission was replaced 10,000kms ago the same time as the recall was done.

Thank you in advance for your help!
