Stage 1 remap on 75bhp 2006 Transit Connect, recomendations

Postby Jay78 » Sun Mar 29, 2026 9:50 pm

Hi all, looking to get a stage 1 remap done on my 2006 MK1 Transit Connect 75bhp. Van has only 54k miles on it so it's in great shape and I want to make the most of it.
Not looking for a cheap cut and paste job — want someone who will actually map it properly for the engine.
Can anyone recommend:

A good reputable remapper you've personally used, ideally in or around the Midlands/Leicester area?
What sort of power and torque gains did you actually see on the 75bhp 1.8 TDCi?

p.s A good price is just as important as money is tight

Vantuner is the go-to guy on here, he's down in NW London, and goes by the member name of MartynX:-

As already said,MartynX is a top mapper, did my 110 about 16yrs ago and got impressive gains(137ps dynoed),only downside was I needed an uprated clutch too take the xtra torque. Not sure what gains a 75ps will make, but if you don’t try it you’ll never know.
