Replacement Part Number - Coolant hose

Postby austieman » Sun Apr 05, 2026 11:29 pm

Hi there again!

I’m hoping someone can help me out by finding a part number for my MK8 2016 L3H3 FWD transit. Unfortunately 7zap isn’t as helpful as it once was and Google is giving me all sorts of weird results.
The part I’m looking for is the length of coolant hose that runs from the bottom of the radiator on the drivers side, very low (so low you can see it when you kneel down and look under the vehicle) towards the driver and then up to the back of the engine. It is made of a part flexible hose followed by a solid plastic section and then ending in a short flexible hose the whole section ends in some plastic component which in the Haynes manual picture attached is the yellow part labelled number 6 (and helpfully referred to in the manual as “connector”). The hose runs between 5 and 6 on the right hand side of the image and is the larger diameter hose.

I’ve also attached a picture from fords website of what it looks like. The part shown apparently does not fit.

If anyone can help me out that would be great - I need to source a replacement.

Cheers!

We use a site called catcar.info now.

Here's the cooling section on the mk8.

http://www.catcar.info/ford/?lang=en&l= ... A9PTMwMzAz

Chose your set up from one of those links, it will take you to yours on the next page.

3030305B Cooling System Pipes And Hoses; 2.0L Diesel Panther; Transit 2014-; FWD; 2.0 EcoBlue (77KW/105PS); 2.0 EcoBlue (96KW/130PS); 2.0 EcoBlue (125KW/170PS)

which takes you here.

By pressing on the numbers in the parts diagram it scrolls you down to the link for the 7 digit part number, which is then on another page. a part number you can copy and paste ..as you cant do that on the previous page.

I’m hoping someone can help me out with a follow up question - what does the other end of the hose in this thread connect to? (I.e. not the end coming from the radiator)
I can tell that it has some hard plastic housing and that there might be another hose running into it but other than that I can’t tell much else.
It is right at this end of the hose under the jubilee clip connecting the hose to the plastic housing where the leak is originating.

Many thanks!

Think you are going to be visiting dealers .. and getting them to open the bonnet to see whats what.

parts diagrams don't really show it, all together,

Your haynes shows a lot more than the parts diagrams show

and the owners manual, i only have the custom ecoblue one, which may be different.
