Stiff Clutch Mk7...

Hi Guys, clutch has always been a bit heavy in my FWD Mk7. While we were swapping out the work gearbox we fitted new DMF and clutch, new slave and master cylinders, and it's still heavy. Pedal is free, it feels like spring rather than stiction. Work was done by my mates who know Transits inside out, so not a garage bodge job. I'm 71 and have arthritis in my hips, which doesn't help, but they said it was heavy themselves - anyone ever fitted a remote servo...?
