clutch pedal bush mark 7

Postby Anothertransit12 » Thu Jul 02, 2026 3:35 pm

Hi Lads. my 2.2 year 2008 sometimes bites a little going into 1st and reverse. Not bad by any means but enough to annoy me. pumping the clutch makes no difference at all. It seems to be a little more noticeable when the engine is cold. the thrust bearing sounds a little chattery when at idle but goes away when i press the pedal. I notice there is a small bit of wear in the pin up at the pedal where it connects to the plastic, Is there a bush in there that wears over time or has anyone ever built this area up a little to take up the slack. As i probably only need a tiny bit of extra clearance i think if i could take up this little bit of slack it would give me enough clutch clearance to solve my issue.

I believe it's the master cyl pushrod itself that wears, it's plastic and the pin hole becomes an oval shape. New master cyl will see it sorted.
