Lost In Transit's Progress Thread

Didn't happen today but hpeened several weeks ago:

Contacted Boomba racing in an effort to buy one of their throttle body spacers. The spacer was orginally designed for the 2.)L 2022 Ford maverick.. they refused to sell or ship this item to me. So I contacted redline360 and no questions asked. before the spacer arrived I purchased a used $15.00 throttle body from eBay. I was using this to test fit the spacer when it arrived. Once I had everything test fited on the used throttle body.

However while attempting to install on the van, there's two rounded tabs on the intake manifold which needed to be shaved or cut off. which I did. this allows the spacer to seat flush to the manifold.

We successfully installed the spacer and gain a few horse and torque even a few MPG's Boomba racing claims they will start offering this product for sale and listed for the 2019-2023 Connect.

Next, Didn't happen today, but should happen Sunday. New modified sway bar bushings to be installed as over winter the state didn't clean the roads enough. we hit something in the road which causes the sway bar bushings to dislodge. They didn't fall out, but we've been getting a clunking since then. next Wed new belts as these 6 year old belts have seen better days.

Oh and thanks for the "one man blog" comment.. Furthermore, if you find my content that repulsive, then ban me. it's not like I haven't asked you to do so before.

Re: What did you do to your connect today?

Wasn't done today, but over the weekend, had a chance to have the shop install the new modified sway bar bushings.. As the old ones had seen better day because driving through Canada took out the bushings as well as the end links.. Now that we have both the end links converted from M10 to M12 we've not had any issues.

I think this is one of the best things any TC owner should do. Convert the M10 ball joint end links to the M12 (larger transit) end links. This means having to drill out the strut bracket allowing the M12 connection and drilling out the sway bar. However, the stock 24mm sway bar doesn't have enough meat on it to drill out. So this means having to upgrade to the Hardrace 28mm sway bar from a 2019 Ford Kuga/Escape.

Up next, after 6 years, we're finally having to replace the belts. Then and unless there's some sort of major issue with the suspension or engine, we can finally get around to installing the alcantara suede wrap.
