security isnt a issue with bulk head removed, as no tools, valuables are kept in the van, and it wont be seeing much hard work while i have it,
got the bulk head took out before it was plylined out as dont like them, plus i couldn't of fitted the head lineing, also looking for a row of removable rear seats. so kids wouldnt of been happy in the back with a bulk head, also as said it stops drips, acts as insulation for heat and noise, adding a body kit to a tourneo's not the same as a sportvan in my view, main reason its a minibus with windows, plus would cost a few grand more to get the same fake effect
if your going to fit a headlining geoff carefull how you handle it, it creases very easy, also easier with the help of a freind, but all in all a simple job to do,
i never knew i had heated seat either until i read geoffs post,
is it right they also have drivers side air bags in the seat back?
read it in the manuel and also found a sticker under the seat, but cant feel or see were they are,:?

well had another bright idea today, = stripes on the back, now there fitted im only 99.9% sure they look right so would appreciate your views and comments,

i dont think they look bad but i do prefer it without them

thanks, had the idea after seeing a fiesta sport with stripe's running from front to back, they do actually look better when seen in reality, than they do in the photos, they dont look as bright and as white and look a lot better when viewed from a distance, but not 100% sure myself there right

no not done the roof, thought about it, but the lad that fitted them said due to the stripes being inline or should that be offline with the ridges on the roof, fitting them would be difficult + no one cant see the roof from normal viewing so i never bothered, thanks mrmpuk, already had a few say to me they should of been fitted from new, so im now 99.99% sure ive done the right thing

What is a Sportsvan then, a highish spec van with a body kit, some alloy wheels and a couple of stripes. I know that sounds brutal but that's all it is, something I do like the look of so you could say it is double standards on my part but as a van I like the look.
If you want seats in the back with proper insulation etc then buy a Tourneo. Especially since it is a NEW vehicle, an older van converted to a Day-Van type of thing is totally different.

couldn't agree more, there's nothing overly fantastic about the sportvan
spec, but it does have the looks I like as well obviously, ok in a year or so, or maybe even less, people will be able to buy the body kits and alloys
to fit there vans, and make them into sportvan look a likes, but that's all they'll be sportvan look a likes

don't know if im missing some thing here or not, this van was bought as a van to use as a van, not to be converted into a passenger carrying mini bus (or tourneo look a like ) so not trying to turn this sportvan into a tourneo, or a day van, the bulk head came out as I don't like them in, and to let light in and to let heat in to the back, in the colder weather,
the headlining went in to serve a purpose as well as for looks to stop condensation dripping on everything, and make it a bit warmer,
normally the 3 front seats do my needs fine, but occasionally I do need a few more seats, so will be fitting a removable single row of seats, does that make it that im wanting to turn it into a tourneo that's not what I want or need, if it were I would of just got a mini bus in the first place.

You have got to be carefull when adding seats to the rear unless they are fitted to mot standards and decleared to your insurance company as well as the dvla.

You insurance will state 3/2 seats (depending on which transit you have)aswell as your log book does.

Not trying to be funny or anything but i was pulled over by the police and they told me i was uninsured to carry passengers due to the things mentioned above, I had fitted 3 seats in the back and there was 6 off us in the van at the time, they let me off with a warning as i honestly didnt know and i was less than a mile from my house.

i ended up removing the seats in the end.
