Is there a special place to keep the jack or does it just rattle around the place? Maybe there was a jack mount that has been removed.

I could be wrong, but I think it's supposed to go on special rubber bands by the rear light, can't remember which. In the chassis cab it's between the seats at the back of the cab, if that helps............

Ahh.... you could be right. There is something a bit strange near one of the lights. What sort of jack was original? Bottle or threaded diamond? Mines long gone.

Scissor jack I would think, but you never know will the odd Aus vehicles!

my mk1 camper had what i thought was the origanal jack - was a bottle/screw jack if you know what i mean!!
completely useless though!!!

It's a screw type jack, we still have 2 of the ford originals for the Mk2. Ya just reminded me that the amby doesn't have any jack, though it does have a wheelbrace wandering round the cab.

there is usually a couple of small brackets on the passenger side corner plate behind the rear lights, i think it fastens onto there, but not sure if it was originally a small retaining bar, or rubber strap
